For the first time in a long time, Hip Hop can genuinely say that a new generation of MC’s have arrived. Sure, there are those who helped birth the culture and music and people who can say they grew up with it. OG Keemos` and his producer Funkvater musical influences were mostly the 70s soul sounds that they grew up hearing along with MF Doom, Kendrick Lamar, Madlib, Skepta, Westberlin Maskulin and some Schoolboy Q. OG Keemo is the leader of the group Zonkeymobb which started ballin on soundcloud in 2016. Although the artist born Karim Joel Martin has only been releasing songs to the public since that time, he already found his very own sound and style. Featuring streetwise lyrics and a violent flow laid over a blend of lo-fi boom bap and 808 trap dumsets.
