Even if he didn't have an immense discography of releases continuing down the path cut by screwed and chopped pioneer <a href="spotify:artist:6TC6ZeVdvCuBSn32h5Msul">DJ Screw</a>, Ronald Coleman, known as OG Ron C, would be a major rap figure for his roles as a DJ, label operator, and manager. Coleman got his start DJ'ing high school parties, and shortly thereafter started working at college and commercial radio stations. During the late '90s, he and <a href="spotify:artist:13SCy5Tn40ptga7ZnCaPOP">Michael "5000" Watts</a> co-founded the <a href="spotify:artist:7qpbQKIG4ghU6YXxB5kI6r">Swishahouse</a> label, releasing their own tapes of slow, hallucinatory remixes and supporting the careers of rappers such as <a href="spotify:artist:07VmOvmuBp9G0gb8BTrpn0">Mike Jones</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0k7Xl1pqI3tu8sSEjo5oEg">Paul Wall</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0st5vgzw9XkH5ALJiUM1lE">Slim Thug</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:6vdMPayKk8YJxxeNP5oMCb">Chamillionaire</a>. Coleman eventually left <a href="spotify:artist:7qpbQKIG4ghU6YXxB5kI6r">Swishahouse</a> but founded outlets such as <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Wrecking+Yard%22">Wrecking Yard</a>, and continued to issue heaps of tapes, including the continuation of the dozens-deep, R&B-based F-Action series. He also remixed material by artists ranging from giants like <a href="spotify:artist:3f5fB1YUbkUnW7cf7I0R48">the Geto Boys</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6ZhjJOJXXwnPS8PrXdmjLw">UGK</a> to <a href="spotify:artist:31IZdHrCZ5pRhLz4zBxN3o">Riff Raff</a>, among dozens of other acts.
