Oh Little Ghost is the creation of songwriter and vocalist Kit Narey & producer/guitarist Nathan Hilton. Their conversational writing style blends reflective, narrative lyrics with melancholic folk melodies to create an atmospheric and immersive sound.
They were joined by bassist Jim Hewins, percussionist Felipe Arevalo and cellist Rhian Porter for their debut album White Lilies, to be released in 2021.
Their first release from the work saw the double A-side of Haircut and Goodness. These two tracks bookended their writing process as the last and first track penned for the album.
A second single Devil followed, which explores dark realms, opening with a delicate, introspective intro of voice and guitar. The song gathers energy with brooding cello, rising and falling before erupting into a dramatic finale. An accompanying music video, directed by impressive filmmaker Anna Bo, see’s Kit Narey perform the song in a gothic hotel room, haunted by the presence of guest star Johan Palm.
More single releases are planned in early 2021 as the band continue to grow their presence ahead of their album launch.
