Born and raised in south east London OhWell was heavily musically influenced by his parents and three older sisters, going from Bob Marley to Kanye West to The Pigeon Detectives. His biggest influences are Arctic Monkeys but also WRNRBOY and J Warner who he grew up with. He describes his sound as alternative indie rap and only started writing, recording and producing his own work in early 2020.
