With his versatility in music, OhWordMac, the artist formerly known as 'Chris Mac', has fought his way into the limelight to steal the hearts of every music fan around the world.


OhWordMac, born Chris McCaskill, Jr., knew as a child he would be an entertainer of some sort. Mac, wanting to follow in his father&#39;s footsteps (whom was also a rapper) started writing raps at the age of 7 and engaged with local kids in rap cyphers at the schools he attended. He was born in Peekskill, NY and later relocated to St. Clair County, IL at the age of 12 with his mother and sister. At 13 years old, Mac had recorded his first solo freestyle on a laptop and uploaded the song onto a Myspace Music account under the name &#39;C-$killz&#39;. As he got into highschool, he pursued his music career. Mac started out rapping freestyles on well known artists&#39; instrumentals, such as <a href="spotify:artist:1RyvyyTE3xzB2ZywiAwp0i" data-name="Future">Future</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:13ubrt8QOOCPljQ2FL1Kca" data-name="A$AP Rocky">A$AP Rocky</a>, and posting them to his YouTube channel. During his senior year, Mac linked up with a friend to create the music group MBR (Money Bag Renegades). The group went on to drop a handful of mixtapes and were giving out CDs all around the highschool. After graduating, Mac chose to take his music career a step further by attending a local college to obtain an Associate&#39;s Degree in Music Technology. OhWordMac then went on to pursue a solo career, solely dropping his music on Soundcloud in 2014. He dropped his first EP, Writer&#39;s Block back in 2018, following up with <a href="spotify:playlist:5izkws8ejmTKhdMh3k3Hdm" data-name="Writer&#39;s Block 2">Writer&#39;s Block 2</a> less than a year later.
