Hey, we’re The Oily Discharge Band! We’ve been writing music, recording albums, and leading the charts for over 180 years collectively! We have been booked and canceled from some of the most awesome venues over the years such as Filmore Auditorium in Denver, every House of Blues across the nation (namely Chicago, Vegas, and San Diego), Red Lobster on Miramar Road by Top Gun in San Diego, and most recently the Boll Weevil in Ramona, California (it’s a long story involving llamas).
Our new single, “Oooh That Burns,” from our new self-named EP, will take winter by storm and will have you saying to yourself, “meh, there are worse things to listen to.”
This soon-to-be-chart-topper is filled with bathroom activities, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and a pointed slam on a fellow artist (we’re better musicians than him and he should have had us play on his new album for God’s sake at least a cowbell or tambourine or triangle or wind chimes or a foghorn but nooooo…). Where was I..? Members!
The caliber of the players that have contributed to the project is mind blowing! Between Russell “Fix it in post” McCubbin on Drums and Production, Rob “I can play anything” Ward on keys/synth, “Big John” Kaiser slappin’ the bass, Reed “I love John Mayer” Killion rippin’ the riffs, Dori “Do I have to do this?” Smith, Michael “Hell, I’ll play whatever..” McCubbin, and Christian “Hey, I got a real stupid idea” Davis on guitar, vocals, and bassoon. There are some amazingly mediocre performances on this EP!
