Oitavada is a rock and roll band from Fortaleza City (Northeast coast of Brazil) formed in 2005. The music is powerful, punchy and meaningful. You can tell that they love listening to bands such as Millencolin, Face to Face, Pennywise, Dead Fish, Sugar Kane...
In 2007 the band launched a full-length album called "Corra Mais na Chuva" which was released by the Brazilian Punk Rock label, Empire Records. In the same year they released a music clip (Agora só trato do que ficou) which reached MTV Brazil. You can check it out on their youtube channel.
The band had a long break between 2009 and 2020 due to personal projects and life stuff in general. However, after 13 years, the members got together to record a very special single called "SEIVA" which means the nectar of a tree.
The lyrics talk about reflections of the human race with itself and with nature during times of pandemic... in a subliminal way!
All the profits from streamings in all channels will be donated to music programs at a NGO called Be Happy Music Club, founded by one of the band members.
