Born in Accra, Ghana, Emmanuel Okai also known as OKAI WAV started playing musical instruments at the age of 5. Making music came very naturally to him as he also happened to have come from a
musical family and therefore had already been exposed to different types of music in throughout his early childhood.
As his knowledge and passion for music grew over the years, he finally decided to start making music professionally. He started to produce his own music in 2016 and years in after working with artists like BRYAN THE MENSAH, Kirani Ayat, Ludacris and
many others, OKAI has become a force to be
reckoned with on the African Music scene.
Today, he is well-known for his Trap/Hip-Hop
influenced production sound but is also quite
versatile in other genres such as Afrobeat and Pop
musical family and therefore had already been exposed to different types of music in throughout his early childhood.
