Ol Drake

Oliver &#34;Ol&#34; Drake is vocalist and lead guitarist of the band <a href="spotify:artist:1dwrMJAKBiLlj0O4R791Xo" data-name="Evile">Evile</a> who - after leaving the band in 2013 to later rejoin in 2018 - started a solo-guitar career entitled &#34;<a href="spotify:album:2jByH3xpgYWgkPoBvWlmur" data-name="Old Rake">Old Rake</a>&#34; named after fans of the band giving him the nickname. Born in March 1984, Ol&#39;s older brother, Matt, would introduce him to <a href="spotify:artist:2ye2Wgw4gimLv2eAKyk1NB" data-name="Metallica">Metallica</a> at a young age. Mainly influenced by Metallica, <a href="spotify:artist:0L8QRAAuWjqvTM8FpQ1gYO" data-name="Annihilator">Annihilator</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:28hJdGN1Awf7u3ifk2lVkg" data-name="Testament">Testament</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:32Jb1X3wSmmoHj2epZReZA" data-name="Steve Vai">Steve Vai</a>, Ol would spend the majority of his teenage years listening to and learning his favourite guitar work, spending 6-8 hours per day playing guitar. He would go on to help found a covers band called Metal Militia in 1999, to later rename the band Evile to write and perform original music. Ol would go on to play with, and make guest appearances with bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:5d6KI8frPEo3qGsIL8Sak2" data-name="Destruction">Destruction</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3dnH7fdVm2X07MK6Fkbhbt" data-name="Gwar">Gwar</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4adgHnoK84DgtLot2jxrp2" data-name="Tim Minchin">Tim Minchin</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3mBFvlqINbTNsRB6htlJEY" data-name="CHTHONIC">CHTHONIC</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:75OkKMJXuW7voncWJ2DfLs" data-name="Foetal Juice">Foetal Juice</a> as well as paying tribute to <a href="spotify:artist:7ozkOJRZcDU9B3DlmZKS9s" data-name="Dimebag Darrell">Dimebag Darrell</a> of <a href="spotify:artist:14pVkFUHDL207LzLHtSA18" data-name="Pantera">Pantera</a> in Metal Hammer magazine by covering <a href="spotify:track:78dWlVCSQgF5ZyJg7uw65m" data-name="Cemetery Gates">Cemetery Gates</a>.
