OLI BLAZE's music is inspired by the pop-punk and punk-rock sound of the 2000s, drawing influence from bands like Green Day, while also incorporating stylistic elements from modern artists like Machine Gun Kelly. He blends these influences with his own stylistic elements, creating a — he really hopes — unique sound.
Amidst a severe personal and emotional crisis, the 29-year-old performer fled to London with nothing but a guitar, where he began writing songs again on the banks of the Thames. Music, quite literally, saved his life. During his time in London, he decided to leave his acting career behind for good and dedicate his life entirely to music. He feels that through music, he can share his emotions and experiences more honestly than standing on a theatrical stage, speaking lines written for someone else.
It was here that the songs for his soon-to-be-released EP, Bloom, were born. These tracks touch on heavy topics such as mental health issues, addiction, and serious societal challenges, while focusing on the search for hope and happiness. The goal is to give listeners strength to persevere and make them feel less alone when listening to Oli’s music. Brutal honesty and dreamy, poetic lyrics, headbanging anthems, and bittersweet ballads—images of utter hopelessness and a hopeful future alternate throughout. OLI BLAZE’s music is full of contradictions. Just like life itself.
