Oliver Rodley's first recordings were influenced by the late Japanese producer/artist, Nujabes, lo-fi artist Ta-Ku, the enigmatic hip-hop pioneer J-Dilla, and the musical wizard, Madlib, but his music is always evolving. By 2023, he found new inspiration in the songs of popular EDM producers and artists like DJ Snake, John Summit, Switch Disco, Prunk, Imanbek, deadmau5, FISHER, Hayla, and Tiesto. So, in 2024, Rodley shifted his focus to electronic dance music, starting with the singles, "Under Your Skin," "Paradise," and "All These Faces." These tracks introduced a dynamic, club-focused, tropical house energy to his music. 2025 promises more dance-able EDM, starting with the single, "Dirty Thoughts (Dirty Vox Mix)"
Oliver released his first album, "Sweet Green Tea," in 2021. At the time, he was vibing to a lot of lo-fi and chill-hop music. "Sweet Green Tea" showcased his personal vision of lofi, chill-hop, boom-bap/hip hop, and even cool and soul jazz. The album also included the amazing hip-hop track, "The Top" (feat. AKIL THE MC), which essentially introduced him to the listening world. The song was recently featured in Season 3 of the popular Netflix series, "Ginny & Georgia" (Episode #6).
Oliver's 2022 follow-up EP, "January," has a holiday feel and is an ethereal homage to the the fall and winter seasons. He followed the "January" EP with a holiday-focused EP, "'Tis the Season," which gives off heavy Charlie Brown jazz and chill-hop vibes.
