Raised in West London, Olympia Vitalis stands out boldly in the soul scene, unapologetically claiming her space. With seven years of experience singing in a gospel choir, Olympia has honed her unique improvisational style. She has already established herself in the soul genre, addressing topics close to her heart through her writing. Seamlessly blending her reflections on both significant and everyday matters, she adds a touch of subtlety and distinctive vocals to her work.
Olympia has received backing from BBC Introducing, she was selected as a recipient of the Women in Jazz fund, a program supporting the growth of emerging jazz musicians. Olympia showcased her talent at the London Jazz Festival in late 2023, as well as supported jazz musician Kiefer on the UK leg of his world tour in January 2024.
She performed on Mahalia Present’s April line-up and Futuretense’s showcase in collaboration with BBC Introducing at Southbank Centre. In May, she supported Bricknasty, Victor Ray and Poppy Ajudha at their respective London shows, as well as Teddy Swims headline in Leeds.
Olympia took the stage at Latitude Festival this summer and later joined Baby Rose on her UK/EU tour in the autumn. Upcoming shows/ festivals include Cross The Tracks, St. Lucia Jazz Fest, supporting 1 date for Bilal @ Jazz Cafe.
