From an early age, OLZ has always had a strong telepathic connection when it comes to music. Using his older brother alongside his friends, he was able to find a musical niche upon the varied musical inspirations he was exposed to; Genres such as Hip-Hop, RnB, Afrobeats, Amapiano have all contributed to his ever evolving sound.
Playing a multiple array of instruments such as the drums and Piano, OLZ wanted to be fully enamoured with the whole musical experience.
During his tenure as a Record Engineer, working with artists such as BackRoadGee, Not3s and others, this helped OLZ to become a more well rounded artist who is very meticulous in how to compose records, taking that outlook in music from acts like Dr Dre, Ryan Leslie among others.
OLZ’s emphasis on his music style is to always innovate and to be progressive in his production whilst giving unique melodic vocals to help compliment his sound. Artists such as T-Pain, Kanye West and Michael Jackson serve as some of his biggest influences growing up ;along with Amapiano and Afrobeat in more recent years.
