Omar Noir

Omar Noir, previously known as <a href="spotify:artist:36SvDHIiV7VNyLLmChI1H6" data-name="Blvck O">Blvck O</a>, is a Gambian/Senegalese recording artist residing in Oslo, Norway. When his parents moved back home to Gambia, Omar chose to stay in Norway and lived with his aunt and uncle in Bergen, where he started writing poems and songs as a way to express his young mind and emotions. After releasing two online mixtapes along with a couple of videos (one of which was nominated for Amandus Prisen 2012 - NRK), Omar Noir got together with fellow Oslo based producer <a href="spotify:artist:3lh63qGyUB7rFqqfKSrLQ4" data-name="PVCIFY">PVCIFY</a> and finally debuted with the dark, storytelling project “<a href="spotify:album:7w2NBKXjW2MiLpi0fvuZiP" data-name="The Plot">The Plot</a> – EP”, on July 6, 2016.


Without any major label push or radio rotation on any of the singles, The Plot has managed to generate over 2,5 million streams on Spotify alone.
Perhaps opening up for artists like <a href="spotify:artist:0eezS9KmhdjGN436RdTIXu" data-name="Mavado">Mavado</a> (JA), <a href="spotify:artist:0NbfKEOTQCcwd6o7wSDOHI" data-name="The Game">The Game</a> (US), <a href="spotify:artist:3l4RyQwQ0kHZ9Q9cQbRNMr" data-name="Arif">Arif</a> (NO), <a href="spotify:artist:3Fe3yv5ZGCwcaMnlBltuT2" data-name="Unge Ferrari">Unge Ferrari</a> (NO) <a href="spotify:artist:0ZnmpHEiVrHpbyRqDYjnTL" data-name="Smoke Boys">Smoke Boys</a> and UK grime leader, <a href="spotify:artist:2p1fiYHYiXz9qi0JJyxBzN" data-name="Skepta">Skepta</a>, early in 2016 has helped the aspiring artist’s exposure, to reach the masses more than he ever could before.


Since then Omar Noir has been patiently exploring and working on his craft, but at the same time stayed relevant in the Norwegian music scene through features with various urban acts in the country and pop acts like <a href="spotify:artist:7vk5e3vY1uw9plTHJAMwjN" data-name="Alan Walker">Alan Walker</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:77AiFEVeAVj2ORpC85QVJs" data-name="Steve Aoki">Steve Aoki</a>, boyband <a href="spotify:artist:1umTeYMbiCSj1nl2fqXVcZ" data-name="The Main Level">The Main Level</a> and norwegian hit maker <a href="spotify:artist:3EaDukxGx5viO0MTLW1a5X" data-name="Morgan Sulele">Morgan Sulele</a>.
