After an extremely turbulent year (one that for some reason just won't end!) - One Million Motors are proud to announce our new single ‘Poisoned Lungs’ which will be hitting all streaming platforms on the 12th March 2021.
‘Poisoned Lungs’ was written, rehearsed and recorded throughout 2020; matching the frustration caused by the chaotic stop and start nature of each social restriction. There’s a rage behind this single. A harder take on our previous sound; we've developed some edges, we're playing faster and we're singing about things that matter.
Everything you love about OMM is present - the energetic twitch of alt-punk with sing along chorus’ - but turned up to eleven. The natural evolution of our sound has led to pounding drums, driving bass and buzzsaw guitars, which in this case, build the foundations for a declaration against the music industry. ‘Poisoned Lungs’ explores the idea of poisoning yourself through playing music for fame and financial gain. Popularity and making money will never be the reason we play. The only thing that matters is playing our musical truth. If we were to ever falter in this, we’d never fix our poisoned lungs.
