ONEFOURSIX. It could be the street number of a London strip club that once hosted the booze-fuelled night that marked the event when the paths of four dreamers crossed. Yet, it could also be the day, the month and the year when a couple of varied personalities took to making music together for the first time in Vienna. But wherever the truth may lie, the combination of these three figures symbolizes the beginning of a band that has ever since been brave enough to change its perspective several times before finally arriving for the first time – eight years after its inception.
It was opposites that brought ONEFOURSIX together in 2006: a singer of Philippine descent, a bassist with Viennese roots, a guitar player with a French-British background and a drummer that experienced all of Eastern Europe during his childhood. Influences came from all over the place and ideas were gathered from virtually everywhere: while Alee, Patrick, Conny and Axel got deeply immersed in the artistic act of creating, worked on their skills and perfected their technical knowhow, there was always one consistent factor at the bottom of it all: the mutual vision of atmospheric sounds in sold-out stadiums.
