OGK’s passion for music began at a very young age, when he often listened to Tupac Sharkur’s old records on his family’s CD player. He became amazed by Tupac’s poetic and storytelling skills, which resulted to him listening to similar storytelling artists such as Nas and Fugees. He then began to write poems/raps and recite them in his bedroom, before gaining the confidence to start attending local studios.

OGK grew up listening to artists such as @Tupac, @Nas, @J.Cole, @P-Square, @2Baba, @Micheal Jackson, @Timaya, @50 Cent, @Fugees & @Burna Boy, which explains his versatility in the music he makes.
