A descendant of Icelandic folk musicians and clowns, Opal Dar was born and raised in East Vancouver BC and now resides on the Unceded Territory of the T'Souke Nation as a disabled, queer artist.
Opal's music is an explosive expression of their deep inner world and indelible spirit.
Their debut record " Birds Hurting Birds Who Hurt Birds" drops May 27th 2025 with the support of the Canada Council For the Arts
Produced by Todd MacDonald and Jordan Koop at the Noise Floor Recording Studio.
On the record are seven original songs written and composed by Opal Dar with arrangement support from Veda Hille on piano, Naomi Kavka on Bass and Guitar and Todd Macdonald on drums.
