Oranmiyan Ajagundade

Visionary cosmopolitan with Nigerian Yoruba roots Oranmiyan Ajagundade has been influencing the African Music scene notably during the past years by using his strong traditional lyrics and style of music as a medium and tool of activism to adress social, cultural and political issues.

Oranmiyan’s outstanding music production, songwriting, arrangements combined with his strong vocal aesthetic has been categorized as Jazz fussion Music and has allowed him to work for a variety of studios, performed and tour with several professional Revolutionary Musicians worldwide such as Awa Band ,Tony Allen, Fatai Rolling Dollar, Nneka, DJ Farhot, Ade Bantu, Ebo Taylor, Chicago Afrobeat project and many more.

He created a style of music, called Yoruba Reggae, with blends of Yoruba Langauge and Reggae. He is also the first Artist to create a blend of Yoruba-Soca music.

Based in Toronto, Canada, Hamburg Germany and Ibadan Nigeria, he is currently working on series of recording projects including a new Album on his own invention of Yoruba Reggae music while Touring across Europe and North and South America. He is also featuring and collaborating with multiple artists across the globe.

His collaboration with the Queen of Afrobeat Sandra Iszadore symbolizes his respect for revolutionary artistry

His last Album AUTODIDACT, on wich he creates an experimental fusion of traditional rhythm, Reaggae, soulful chants and Jazz is indeed a fantastic rendition of sound and musical exhibition.
