O24C ´s line up consists of musicians from various styles and backgrounds, from the world of jazz, rock and classical music. Together they interweave a unique cinematic sound that goes from Blues to Balkan and Jazz to Rock.
The orchestra debuted their self-titled album in 2016 (with songs both in English and Spanish) to rave reviews, which led them to tour around the country.
In 2020, O24C released ¨El Desvelo¨, produced by Latin Grammy winner, Gerry Rosado, ¨El Desvelo¨ takes us to worlds that would seem impossible in a pop sensibility, generating a unique language that reminds us at times of Tom Waits or Pink Floyd, Lou Reed or Leonard Cohen.
¨Whale Waltzes¨ it´s 024C´s newest album, which covers some of the band´s favorite artists, such as Tom Waits, P.J. Harvey, Ween, Sean Lennon and Teddy Wilson.
Recorded with some of the most important blues, rock and jazz players from Mexico City, the album´s cover versions pay true tribute to these artists, not just by merely recording their songs, but by reimagining them completely, giving them new life and meaning.
Tying the musical project to the visual and performatic world, O24C remains focused on exploring the aesthetic possibilities of collaborations with both emerging and established visual artists and choreographers in their live shows and videos; these collaborations has led them to 16 international awards and nominations at film festivals around the world.
