Ortense Blue lives in the wilds of beautiful Mid-Wales and is a singer, songwriter with a dark, indie folk style. She studied visual & performing arts, creative writing, and singing/songwriting – the latter at Leeds College of Music, and has been involved in songwriting collaborations since 2013. She has co-written with several artists and writers, including <a href="spotify:artist:5jqbjtLVp8poBrkoylodsr" data-name="Michael Garvin">Michael Garvin</a>, writer of <a href="spotify:artist:4N8BwYTEC6XqykGvXXlmfv" data-name="George Benson">George Benson</a>'s ‘Never give up on a good thing’ and <a href="spotify:artist:2DlGxzQSjYe5N6G9nkYghR" data-name="Jennifer Lopez">Jennifer Lopez</a>'s 'Waiting for tonight'.
She has also had songs commended in the UK Songwriting Contest and had two songs played by BBC Introducing in both Leeds, and Shropshire where she was described as a “folky <a href="spotify:artist:5BKsn7SCN2XmbF7apdCpRS" data-name="Goldfrapp">Goldfrapp</a>'
Her debut EP is titled ‘Safe to make a sound’ and was released on 29th September 2017. She has two songs published by Leopard Music Publishing and is currently working on several songwriting collaborations.
