Sharing a passion for jazz, soul, and world music, ORU is a project that combines the commonalities of Allan Low and Zed, The Dreamer in the way they perceive life, music, and friendship, enabling them to create honest lyrics and take each other’s perspective.
Their first single is an ode to their love for Brazilian boogie with influences of pioneers such as Tim Maia, Cartola, and Banda Black Rio with dashes of house and nu-funk.
In ‘Esperança’ the duo explores the notion of overcoming pain and disappointment by trusting their past experiences of reaching growth and peace.
