<a href="spotify:artist:6pK8zCPowMlAvf8VMQc6a1" data-name="Oscar Kusko">Oscar Kusko</a> consists of lead singer and guitarist Oscar Nemlander, Lumi Biehl (&amp;Nova) on bass guitar, Freja Isohanni on 2nd lead vocals, Leo Salomon Ringart on drums as well as Douglas Börjesson (<a href="spotify:artist:6S5htj8aa1awgy19E7jghw" data-name="Douglas Vincent">Douglas Vincent</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:24mVOmHMBrTA1noyEaJL1X" data-name="Future Friends">Future Friends</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5EiLfIT16DvcLe4Ei8q8pM" data-name="A Blue Story">A Blue Story</a>) on lead guitar.

The debut single <a href="spotify:track:4J3UPLFYUO9G8QcW62mRHx" data-name="Substitute">Substitute</a> was released in January of 2023 as a collaboration between <a href="spotify:artist:6pK8zCPowMlAvf8VMQc6a1" data-name="Oscar Kusko">Oscar Kusko</a> and their old mates from <a href="spotify:artist:24mVOmHMBrTA1noyEaJL1X" data-name="Future Friends">Future Friends</a>. The song has been compared to the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:2cCUtGK9sDU2EoElnk0GNB" data-name="The National">The National</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3rIZMv9rysU7JkLzEaC5Jp" data-name="Snow Patrol">Snow Patrol</a>. Whilst the, soon to be released, songs in Swedish have drawn comparisons to bands like <a href="spotify:artist:0k5NrYJAazGYrIhzrDslcT" data-name="Johnossi">Johnossi</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0kO8xM63TaZM13XlV7yQXk" data-name="Solen">Solen</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:46CitWgnWrvF9t70C2p1Me" data-name="Daughter">Daughter</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5wFXmYsg3KFJ8BDsQudJ4f" data-name="Manchester Orchestra">Manchester Orchestra</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3pTE9iaJTkWns3mxpNQlJV" data-name="Bombay Bicycle Club">Bombay Bicycle Club</a> as well as solo artists like <a href="spotify:artist:6zlR5ttMfMNmwf2lecU9Cc" data-name="Sam Fender">Sam Fender</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2DWNa2o3BbsIHeBq7Iu6E7" data-name="Thomas Stenström">Thomas Stenström</a>.

In August of 2023, Oscar Kusko competed in the international final of Emergenza, taking place at the Taubertal Festival in Germany, after winning the Swedish leg of the competition.

More releases of their melancholic hard-hitting indie pop are planned for the beginning of 2024, with first single &#34;Kärleksdetox&#34; released February 2nd.
