Oscar Ernesto Rojas Sepulveda, also known as Oscar Sepulveda and formerly known as MrOpio, is a rapper and hiphop-artist.[1]
In 1995 he and his brother Salvador Sanchez formed the now legendary hip-hop group Darkside of the Force (DOTF)[2] at the age of 15, and in 1997 they released their self-titled debut album Darkside of the Force, which is now widely considered to be a true and defining norwegian hip-hop classic.[3,4,5]
The group won the Spellemannsprisen 2006 Award[6] (norwegian Grammy) in the hip-hop category with their second album El Dia De Los Puercos,[7] which was also nominated at the Alarm Awards 2007.[8] The first single off the album, «Indigenous Flow»[9], earned them a nomination for the 2009 NME Awards[10]
Oscar and Salvador started working on their next album, but it was never completed due to Oscar's behavioral troubles at the time, ultimately landing him a lenghty prison sentence over aggravated assault charges.[11]
According to the artist’ fan page[ album is scheduled for release later this year.12]
