OSIXTWO 1st Compilation Album "Mugung Mujin"
OSIXTWO is a movement formed in Gwangju in 2011 that supports local scenes in Korea and collaborates with various artists. It is currently composed of all types of artists, such as rappers, vocalists, producers, illustrators, filmmakers, etc., and has consistently worked to build the profiles of local cultural movements within Korea.
The title of OSIXTWO’s first compilation album, “Mugung Mujin”, is a combination of Gwangju’s original name, “Mujin,” and the word “Mugung”, meaning eternity. When the two words are put together they take on a second meaning -- “Infinite and Boundless”.
The release date of the album is set for May 18th, the 40th anniversary of the May 18th Gwangju Democratic Uprising, as a small way to reflect on and commemorate this important event.
