Osmay Calvo, The Cubano! Singer-songwriter and musician, at heart. As a young kid, Osmay browsed the streets of Cuba, listening to the beat of conga drums in Cuban folk and tropical music. His charming personality was engaging; his voice was captivating. When he sang from the heart, he was impossible to miss. Singing called to him. At the age of nine, he entered a talent show as a singer, which he won. Soon after, he was invited to perform at a variety of concerts and festivals. His versatile voice allowed him to perform Baladas Salsa’s Bolero and Cubano musical compositions. He has participated and collaborated with different artists and stars of popular music in Cuba and later in the United States as Rosalita Forbes and Luis Carbonel. He collaborated with “Maestro Jonny Pacheco Tito Nieves and the trombone player Jimmy Bosch, and Oscar De Leon, one of his primary inspirations. The stars were aligning, and Osmay Calvo shone. Cuba loved their young singer with his ability to sing from the heart and move audiences. His passion for songwriting fueled his stage performances, and he soon joined a musical world. Today Osmay Calvo is facing his greatest challenge, going up against great artists in the US market, something he finds inspirational! Osmay's key to success is that he lives to sing and singing is his life. When singing, Osmay does not always stick to set lyrics. He connects with the audience at that very moment and improvises what is needed to touch their souls.
