Ostende is the electronic-improvisation project duo of multi-instrumentalists Julián Rossini & Ariel Schlichter. The two met while studying Composition with Electroacoustic Media between 2008 and 2013 and have collaborated on several projects and performing different roles (recording, production, mixing, mastering).
In this project, Julián plays synthetizer and KaossPad, creating the bass lines, melodies and harmonies that Ariel loops and processes in real time, while triggering and modifying rhtyhm samples, doing real time drum sequencing and also adding synthetizer lines. Dialogue is crucial for this constantly evolving improvisation jam, which is recorded on every live opportunity.
