Dr Otis Olela, pédiatre suisse-congolais, a grandi à Genève avec le rêve d’aider son pays d’origine. Son projet Mbotama Espoir (« naissance » en lingala) lutte contre la mortalité néonatale en RDC à travers la musique, la sensibilisation et la formation. La chanson Mbotama Espoir, fruit d’une collaboration inédite avec Pson et Orphée Wemba (fille de Papa Wemba), illustre cette vision : unir l’art, la santé et l’humanité au service des nouveau-nés.
Dr Otis Olela, a Swiss-Congolese pediatrician, grew up in Geneva with the dream of supporting his country of origin. His project Mbotama Espoir (“birth” in Lingala) addresses neonatal mortality in the DRC through music, awareness, and training. The song Mbotama Espoir, a unique collaboration with Pson and Orphée Wemba (daughter of Papa Wemba), embodies this vision: bringing together art, health, and humanity in service of newborns.
