On one fateful afternoon, Nolen Stevens (nbs) posted a random photo of his guitar on his Snapchat story, prompting an old friend, Collin Lally, to ask him to jam. The two began writing songs together shortly after, with Stevens on lyrics and vocals and Lally on guitar, but they were still missing something.
They enrolled in a guitar class at their high school, where they met another songwriter, Mandy McGinn, who was quickly brought in to play bass and also sing. Luckily, McGinn was friends with drummer Kyra McComb, who turned out to be another perfect fit for the eclectic group.
With each member bringing something unique to the table, their first 6-song EP, Looking Back, was born within weeks of their meeting. Soon after, their first full length, self-titled album, Overcolor, followed.
Now, though scattered all over the country for most of the year, the band is ready to push the boundaries of their sound and show you a brand new Overcolor… if you’re ready for it.
