Overkhaos

Overkhaos is an italian progressive metal band active 2013. The name encapsulates the ideas and feelings the group wants to convey: rising above the "chaos" (the mythological state of void that precedes the creation of the universe in an explosion of energy).

In 2017, their debut album "Beware of Truth" officially came to life. It is a concept album with 10 tracks totaling 55 minutes, featuring Derek Sherinian on keyboards for the track “Anna’s Song.” The album was mixed and mastered at Golem Dungeon Studios in Bari by Giuseppe Dentamaro and released via Rockshots Records.

During the pandemic, the singer Mimmo and the bassist Alessandro, who had replaced Anna in the meantime, left the band. As a result, the remaining members decided to continue the project as an instrumental trio.
The group currently consists of Andrea Mariani (drums), Davide Giancane (guitar), and Giuliano Zarcone (guitar), who have continued to compose and rework new material, evolving towards more modern sounds inspired by bands such as Intervals, Periphery, and Haken.

In 2024, they officially began producing new songs, collaborating with Gianluca Ferro (synths/sound design arrangement) and Alessio Giacomi (mix and master) and joined “Progressiverse” label, that has the aim of promoting the best prog artists.
