The project was formed in April 2016 by the singer Ruso Talavera and his best friend and guitarist César Montoya. Former members of “Skullcrusher” band.
Taking by they first band name "Conspiracy" and with the idea of adopting an Alien-Conspiracy theme accompanied by a musical genre that oscillates between Heavy, Speed, Thrash and includes a touch of Progressive Metal to their music, influenced by bands like Judas Priest, King Diamond, Coroner, Metal Church, Overkill, Forbidden Evil, Grave Digger, among others, the band starts rehearsals.
It is not until the entry of the bassist Rex Sánchez when the band solidifies his base
and changes their name to "Oversteel", name created by César Montoya. Starting this road trip in a way of ups and downs, in terms of the selection of musicians.
With Sergio's replacement on the drums comes a Ruso's Friend, a drummer full of energy and power, coming from the sister band "Maddox", Hugo Charles, becomes part of the band, thus being formed The Core of Oversteel.
Grouwing up the musical composition through the months, taking many ideas from Rex and César. The repertoire increases while the search for the 5th element continues.
After many friends and dudes going through the guitar, Sergio Mirval arrives, a regular from the Black Metal scene, a high quality guitarist and active in the scene of Monterrey since 1996, sealed the formation.
