Born and raised in the suburbs of Minneapolis Minnesota, 25 year-old Owen Trelstad is one of Minnesota’s up and coming singer/songwriter with his debut EP “17” releasing in September 2025. Focused on the ups and downs that come with transitioning from youth to adulthood, “17” is the latest addition to Minnesota’s diverse music history.
Coming from a very musical family, Owen started playing music at the age of 6 and was writing songs by the age of 9. His family has been his biggest supporter growing up, pushing him to strive for success by doing what he loves. Owen has performed at multiple music venues, bars, and restaurants around Minneapolis as a solo act, and with his band “Owen Trelstad and the Occasionals”. Owen’s style of music is pop singer/songwriter and cites artists such as The Lumineers and Noah Kahan as his biggest influencers. With his EP “17” being his second released onto music platforms after his single “Not The One”, he is excited to continue writing, recording, and releasing new music.
