OX - Alternative rock from Germany.
OX and their vision of handmade rock music with catchy choruses and modern sounds can be found somewhere between alternative rock, post-grunge and modern alternative metal. Hard riffs, melodic choruses and memorable songs are the trademarks with which the band has created its own identity.
The band was founded in 2015 by singer and guitarist Simon Ochs in Karlsruhe, Germany. The line-up is completed by drummer Max Siegmund, bassist Niklas Reinfandt and guitarist Nadir Zee. Already one year after the formation OX released their first studio album "Rewind to Overwrite", which covers a great stylistic variety. After numerous club gigs in southern Germany and a tour of Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia), the second studio album "Breaking Point" was completed in 2019. After the successful release of the album, the pandemic-induced break was used to take a new artistic direction, focusing on a heavier and more modern sound somewhere between alternative metal and post grunge. The first results of this new direction were the two singles "Blame the Fallen" and "Another One to Care". After the positive response to their new style, the band has polished it to perfection on their new EP "State of Change", which showcases the band more creative and playful than ever.
Musically audibly matured, the band is now eager to present their new songs live after the creatively used time off.
