Getting honey lubricated around the mouth and then being stung by a swarm of bees - that's how the grunge pop band OXYJANE sounds. Uncompromising, dirty guitar walls meet a cheeky and delicate voice and abrupt dynamic changes meet catchy melodies. With their debut album "0 2 9" OXYJANE deliver well hidden (alternative) pop behind grungy but also sweetly shimmering guitars, which knows how to be charming and unconditional at the same time. This polarity runs through all the songs: urgency ("I wanted you"), practiced with repetition, stands next to absolute indifference ("I thought I was dead"), deliberately reduced numbers ("Heavy Heart") next to rousing, punk-inspired songs ("You are looking dead").
