Pablo Ono & The Savage Sweethearts is the first solo project for the rock ‘n’ roll musician by the same name.
Having been in the underground / punk rock ‘n’ roll scene for the past 30 years as the founder of the glam-addled punk bands BlackNovas, The Hot Things, Die Cobra, The Guillotines, and The Killer Hearts. Pablo’s pedigree also includes being a member of Electric Frankenstein (NYC), Texas Terri & The Stiff One’s (L.A.) & as co-owner of the Austin, TX based record label Dead City Records who's roster included acts such as NYC's The Toilet Boys. Even now, he's taking Europe by storm with his latest band Tongue Action which begs the question - why do something so completely strange and incredibly different to which he'd most likely answer in the form of a question, "why wouldn't I try something so completely strange and utterly different?"
The artistry of his beautifully rough, chaotic, genre-bending, rule breakin', psychedelic sounds of S&M, and even (dare we say) electronic songs are a bit of a far cry from the hard rock music he has been known for.
"I had to get rid of the usual mindset I had in all of my other bands and not allow anything to limit the music I wanted to create. There was no way I wanted to be considered genre specific as a solo artist."
