Pac Marly, formerly known as Smokey Killa, hails from The Gambia, where he kickstarted his musical journey alongside childhood friends in the group K Unit, featuring notable members like Junior K. His breakthrough single, "Born In Africa," emerged around 2009, marking his early success. Collaborations with fellow Gambian artists like Gee further solidified his presence in the music scene. Upon relocating to Beltsville, Maryland, Pac Marly transitioned his stage name and teamed up with fellow Gambian artist OOZ on the track "My Last," setting the stage for a string of successful releases. With singles like "Police Lights" and "Badmon," and his debut project under the name Pac Marly, he garnered attention and performed extensively across the DMV area, Seattle, and Atlanta. Known for his distinctive blend of Dancehall, Reggae, hip hop, and trap, Pac Marly's music resonates with audiences, showcasing a unique fusion of genres. In his latest release, "Protect My Peace" (2024), Pac Marly undergoes a complete rebrand, infusing elements of Afrobeats into his signature dancehall sound, marking a new chapter in his evolving musical journey.
