Formed in 2019, Pacific Connection Choir is based in Porirua, Wellington, New Zealand. Under the Musical Direction of Henrietta Hunkin-Tagaloa, Chad Va, and Jeff Hunkin, they recently became the first ever NZ chorus to win a medal at the international barbershop competition in Denver 2025. They take pride in being Pacific led, with Pacific music sung in many genres. This album Tethered by Tides was written, sung, and accompanied by members of the choir and their extended families, about the pride of their cultures, languages, and identity.
