Pacific Waves plays lo-fi indie that is influenced by what they find in their parents record collections. Their sound have a sunny and surfy vibe, which is kind of ironic considering that the band resides in one of the rainiest cities of Sweden, Gothenburg.
The members of the group are originally from Luleå and Lidköping and started playing together when they all lived in Gothenburg.
The band released their first LP YOUNGSTER in february 2020. The album was written, recorded and mixed by the members of the band.
In january 2024 the EP Tango With A Twist was released. The five songs were recorded in Brunnsvik by Jesper Lindell.
