In the fall of 2020 California natives Ellie English and Resa Jonasson reconnected to dig into something heavy. Within a few months the two had six songs, demos, a studio space and VIOLÀ, PAGOTO. The duo met in Los Angeles in 2011 while playing in another band and stayed close as Ellie went on to tour with other projects, L.A. Witch and Las Cruxes. The girls started playing shows and recorded their first studio album "7989" at Rolling Live Studios in Studio City, early Spring 2022. Pagoto has been seen mostly around California and Texas, with a bunch of cities sprinkled in-between. Their debut record “7989" was released on Licorice Pizza Records on August 9th 2024. PAGOTO is currently recording their second album and looking forward to releasing another video real soon.
