Painkiller of Sweden is a rock band based in Stockholm. Lars started the band 2013 by buying a truckload of music gear before learning how to play in the basement of his house. In the beginning almost no one could play.
- We couldn’t play covers cause we sucked. We had to make our own music!
Since then the band has gone through a few changes with new members and it has slowly started to sound like a real rock’n’roll band. The lyrics are often a twisted version of actual things from the band members every day life.
The band name come from the notion that music is a natural painkiller.
- You can come to a rehearsal with back pain, but after just a few minutes of music you feel like 21 again.
Band-members 2019: Lars Ter-Borch (lead vocals), Claes Stjärnvik (piano/synth), Lena Axelsson (vocal/guitar), Eric Gallander (vocal/guitar), Jonas Palm (bass/vocal), Olof Thorén (drums/vocal), Lars-Göran Palmér (lead guitar)
The band have a guarding angel in our former drummer, Johan Öberg, 1966-2019. The cover art for our first single, Gary, is in honor of him.
