Palmers

Palmers are Claudia, Raquel and Vasco. They met and formed the band in 2018 . Their journey began with the release of the demo “I Don't Care ” which was recorded in an attic. The band released two EPs : Younger Days (2018) and Running Thoughts (2019) . After spending some time playing in various venues across the country ( Music Box, Maus Hábitos and Sabotage ) and sharing the stage with bands such as Iceage, The Last Internationale and The Parkinsons, the pandemic forced them to stop. This break gave them the opportunity to work on their debut album “ Seasonal affective Disorder". This album promises energy and cataclysms, combined with moments of introspection and euphoria . With brief references to the band's primordial sounds, it culminates in antagonistic experiences that currently represent it. Recorded between 2021 and 2022 , in the band's studio, the formula was based on breaking with preconceived canons and evolve into a complex and varied sound. Palmers risk through torn riffs and powerful voices where dissonant synthesizers also echo. The pulsating beat and assertive bass are added to complete this journey. “ Seasonal affective Disorder '' is a type of depression related to the changes of seasons. That became the motto for this album, in which writing and songwriting was therapy for overcoming personal adversity.
