Panagiotis Margaris is a Greek classical guitarist and composer. He was born on October 29, 1971 in Athens and studied classical guitar and advanced theories. In June 2000, he was awarded the classical guitar diploma with distinction and the 1st Award for outstanding achievement. He started appearing in concerts in 1990 and since then he has performed 1700 times throughout Greece, Europe, America and Africa. He has recorded 16 personal albums, most of which reached the top 10 of the official Greek IFPI charts. The album "Prelude to Love" conquered the top, reaching the first place of sales in Greece in February 2020. The total sales of his discography have exceeded 1,000,000 copies worldwide. Especially the album he recorded in 2012 entitled "Rock Of My Soul", is considered pioneering and innovative, since he united classical guitar with Rock music through his arrangements. In 2005 and 2006 he was awarded the Arion Music Awards (Best Orchestral Album of Greece) for the CDs "Cafe de l'art - Cinema" and "Cafe de l'art - Tsitsanis - Vamvakaris" respectively. He has collaborated with great artists from the Greek and foreign music. Scene In July 2017, he was awarded by UNESCO for his contribution to culture.
