Pantaleimon

Pantaleimon is the musical project of British artist Andria Degens. While often referred to as a band, it is primarily Degens who writes, performs, and produces the music. However, she frequently collaborates with other musicians on her recordings and in live performances.
Degens is the central creative force behind Pantaleimon. She is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, keyboards, Indian harmonium, Appalachian dulcimers, and utilizing samples, field recordings, and her distinctive vocals.

Pantaleimon's music is often described as ethereal, hypnotic, and dreamlike folk, sometimes labeled as "astral-folk." It blends acoustic instrumentation with electronic elements, creating layered and often melancholic soundscapes.

The name &#34;Pantaleimon&#34; is inspired by Lyra&#39;s dæmon in Philip Pullman&#39;s His Dark Materials trilogy, meaning &#34;all merciful.&#34;
Degens contributed music to film soundtracks, including Cam Archer&#39;s ‘Wild Tigers I Have Known’.
Pantaleimon has performed at <a href="spotify:artist:0vYkHhJ48Bs3jWcvZXvOrP" data-name="Patti Smith">Patti Smith</a> ‘s Meltdown festival in London.
Since 2013, Degens has been releasing music through her own imprint, Grass Girl Music.
