Straight from the heart of Kingston, Jamaica—Papa Michigan is a reggae and dancehall trailblazer whose voice helped shape a generation. As half of the legendary duo Michigan & Smiley, he blessed the world with hits like “Rub a Dub Style” and “Nice Up the Dance”, setting the foundation for modern dancehall.

Now riding solo and still going strong, Papa Michigan keeps the fire burning with fresh tunes and real talk. Just dropped: “5446 (That’s My Number)”, a tribute to the great Toots Hibbert, and “Africa Rising”—a chant for unity and upliftment. Coming this Friday is “Girl, It’s Complicated”, followed by “High Pin Di Vibes” next week. Look out for a remix of “Nice Up the Dance” this August!

When he’s not in the studio, Papa Michigan is reasoning with the legends on his vibrant talk series Artiste Reasoning—giving fans rare insights into reggae’s past, present, and future.

One artist, one mission: to uplift the people through vibes, culture, and truth. Follow and feel the energy.
