Papa Pretty

Leonidas, better known by his stage name Papa Pretty, is an American musician, songwriter, rapper, actor and independent record label owner. His name Papa Pretty arose due to the pretty women he would always have around him, and his propensity to always make and have money. He first gained acclaim with the release of his single “My Papa” which was featured on his second Mixtape “Wanted” for which he won Best mixtape of the year at the Underground Music Awards in NYC. The mixtape was heavily hiphop influenced. It captured the essence of life growing up in South Jamaica Queens, one of NYC’s outer boroughs. The mixtape was followed up with a tour (The dirty south tour) which took him all over the south east of the United states, performing, doing radio shows and meeting people like Cardi B, YG and Nick Cannon (While at a live taping of Wild n Out) just to name a few. Having lived in South Florida and now Brooklyn NY, Papa Pretty’s New upcoming single “Post Pandemic” is poised to take the music industry by storm. His poetic rap over this tantalizing drill beat (produced by 12keyz, who has produced for Uncle Murda, Ashanti, Jarule etc) captures the essence of Urban America right now while daring to peak into the future of what Hip Hop may become after the Pandemic. Very few artist have the ability to wear many hats and be successful. Papa Pretty is one of those artist that seem to succeed at whatever he touches. He has aspirations to be a mogul one day like Jay Z or Diddy.
