Papapeta started as a solo project in SoundCloud. Six years later, it is now a six-man band composed of Jose Paulo Dela Cruz (vocals), Daryl Mantaring (guitars), Mac Chua (guitars), Ace Gonzales (bass), Joel Dacumos (keyboards), and Exzel Zoleta (drums).
In 2015, the band won 3rd place in the Greenwich Search for #UltimateBandkada.
In 2017, they represented the University of Santo Tomas in MCA’s GetMusic Indie-Go competition in the MOA Arena and performed in the Coke Studio Benefit Concert for Marawi.
After a two-year hiatus in 2018, they are back in May 2020 putting out digitally-produced 'quarantine' versions of unreleased compositions.

Sound: Crispy fried vocals dipped in thick melodic instrumentals with one cup of heartfelt lyricism.
