Born in Inglewood, California, to a musical family, Paris Montgomery was immediately drawn to singing and being on stage. At age 5, Paris was already performing on stage and recording with his godmother (gospel artist Mary Floyd), while sharpening his chops on stage at music festivals such as Flavors of Ethnic LA.
In March of 2007, Paris landed the title role in a stage production of The Wiz. Guided by Denise Dowse, actress Wendy Raquel Robinson, and singer/songwriter Stephan Terry, Paris gave a lauded performance, which received stellar reviews by critics abroad. After wrapping up The Wiz, Paris received a phone call from award-winning playwright Mark E. Swinton to read for a part in his upcoming production “What’s Going On” – a stage musical about the life of Marvin Gaye to which he landed one of the leading roles.
While doing volunteer work at A Place Called Home youth center in South Central, Paris met Producer/Singer/Songwriter Chris Warrior and the two immediately clicked. The duo formed the production/writing team The Eardrums. Soon Paris was co-writing and co-producing songs for Def Jam recording artist Steph Jones. Paris was then recruited by Warner Chapel to write songs for Grammy award winning artists Usher and D’Angelo.
Lyrically sophisticated, vocally polished, and musically current, PARIS leaves no doubt that he is ready to join Pop & Hip Hop’s heavy hitters.
