Parker Simon is a pop singer-songwriter, musician and neonatologist. Known for his electrifying sound, Parker builds from his gospel roots to create melodies reminiscent of cornerstone pop stars of the 80's and early 90's. Parker began singing and playing piano from an early age, first on his grandmother’s dilapidated upright piano, then at church services where he played regularly. He went on to obtain a medical degree but his passion for music remained close to his heart. His medical practice as a neonatologist parallels with his music creation, both of which he uses as a channel to help and inspire others, the latter providing him with an artistic outlet. As his songwriting flourishes, Parker remains as keenly aware of contemporary pop stars as those who paved the road before them. When incorporating his influences, Parker's songs draw from the strengths of each, infusing classic pop songwriting with a soulful urgency that ties back to his gospel roots to create a danceable, R&B-pop hybrid with electronic elements. His connection to the piano and ballad structures, however, ensures Parker will always retain the key characteristics that tie his core songwriting abilities back to iconic singer-songwriters, even when following the direction of his dance and R&B sensibilities. His debut EP Blow It Up, was released in 2013. From that album, his single, "It's Going Down", was featured on the Hollister stores Spring Break Playlist in 2012.
