Parkville are a cathartic folk duo from the Dandenong Ranges of Victoria. Liam Bell (guitar) and Dylan Knur (violin) have spent the better part of the last decade developing the kind of musical synergy that leads many an audience member to conclude that they must be siblings or spouses.

Cutting their teeth busking in Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall, Parkville officially began with the release of The Peculiar Aftermath EP in 2017, which established their winning formula: a driving Mumford And Sons style backbone and boldly honest songwriting, topped with Knur’s signature effects-pedals-laden violin playing and a Punch Brothers-esque penchant for playful arrangements.

2018 saw the expansion of Parkville into a full band, culminating in 2019’s The Softest Murder EP, producing three well-loved singles and the chance to support Irish megastars Kodaline across both Melbourne shows of their Australian tour.

Having spent the last two years writing and refining their craft, Parkville are now closer than ever and are preparing for the next phase of their career. 2022 saw them move in together (cute!), set up a recording studio and complete a mammoth 23-song recording marathon. 2023 will see the fruition of these plans, with the release of their first ever full length LP.
