San Francisco-based musician Parsoa Khorsand’s sound is a cinematic blend of minimalist neoclassical melodies over layered synthesizer arrangements, often with strong influences from post-rock that frequently ventured into ambient and experimental territory.
His sci-fi concept album Eulogy for a Fallen Moon came in Nov 2021 and tells a fictional story of human space exploration and the eventual wipeout of humanity as the moon falls out of its orbit onto Earth following a war.
Dying of the Light came in Aug 2022 and is another sci-fi concept work. Inspired by the sci-fi poem “Aniara”, the EP tells the story of a dying star and the fading of its lights and the eventual darkness that follows. The album is centered on the 23-minute long title track split into three “phases”.
He is currently focused on recording the ambitious double-album “Memories” which will be split into two volumes, to be released in mid and late 2023 respectively.
